Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking to play an integral role within a global leading manufacturer, with a competitive package, where you will lead and mentor in best -of-class performance?

You will be responsible for motivating and leading the team through effective communication, identifying and controlling clear roles and responsibilities for all team members and promoting a culture of self-discipline and control.

This role would suit a Maintenance Lead Technician or similar from Automotive or Aerospace, looking to work on a variety of technical projects for a prestigious manufacturer that they would be proud to represent.

The Role:

  • Enable team members sufficient time to complete work within their agreed area of responsibility
  • Ensure the team can function at all times in terms of appropriately skilled labour, standardised performance, consumable materials and effectively maintained equipment
  • Lead the shift team to improve the availability of equipment through reliability of equipment and effective management of all planned maintenance activities
  • Control and reduce all forms of waste using Kaizen, 5S, PPS and FTPM principles
  • Assist Environmental department in waste management in relation to zero landfill and energy reduction
  • Monitor, control and improve the quality level within the team, referring to Company and customer quality standards
  • Lead the team in the development of world-class performance in the establishment of housekeeping principals, 5S, compliance and adherence to safety/environmental regulations
  • Enable the team to agree work standards with industrial engineers and implement man assignments/labour loading
  • Using lean principles as a key driver in establishing standard processes, resource allocation and process/work area layout

The Person:

  • Technical Maintenance background in a manufacturing/engineering environment
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns, overtime, weekends to achieve production targets
