Are you an experienced IT Support Engineer from an Managed Service Provider (MSP) background? Are you looking for the opportunity to progress your career within an established and local MSP?

On offer is a great opportunity for an IT Support Engineer who has worked in a Managed Service Provider 2 years+ to work in a growing team of IT professionals in an office full of approachable, knowledgeable IT specialists. Acting as the go-to expert with-in the organisation, you will be playing a key role in regards to their current and future plans for growth and expansion by taking a senior position with responsibility from day one.

In this role, the successful IT Support Engineer will work alongside a dynamic helpdesk team and oversee the 1st Line teams, be able to deliver a timely, professional, and friendly service and have a can-do, problem-solving attitude. As the IT Support Team Leader, you will take complete technical ownership of incidents, requests, and problems that get escalated up as well as conduct full and thorough diagnostics with end users to enable ticket resolution, and training, developing and mentoring the 1st line to enable their success and progression.

This role would suit someone with experience in IT support experience and ideally from an MSP background or similar, looking to progress their career with a highly reputable Managed Service Provider, with the chance of progressing into a Senior IT Support position.

The Role:

  • Providing technical support and maintenance to support all user-based IT software and hardware
  • Assisting a team of 3 1st Line engineers, training and developing where needed
  • Working incidents, problems, and requests to SLA thresholds, effectively managing your

The Person:

  • Experienced in providing First and Second Line IT support
  • Problem solver
  • Travel to customer sites when needed
  • Local to North Shields
