Are you a Workshop Manager or similar with a background in welding and fabrication, looking to join an established manufacturer where you can lead a skilled team, drive production standards, and benefit from company bonuses, career progression, and an early Friday finish?

Established in the 1980s, this specialist engineering company designs, manufactures and installs bespoke acoustic and noise-control solutions for industrial and commercial environments. The company works with a range of clients across the UK and internationally, delivering projects for major organisations and contractors across a variety of sectors.

In this role, you will oversee day-to-day workshop and fabrication operations, ensuring production targets, quality, and safety standards are met while supporting labour planning, continuous improvement, and team development.

This role would suit a Workshop Manager or Fabrication Supervisor looking to take ownership of workshop operations within an established manufacturer offering progression and an early Friday finish.

The Role:

• Manage and oversee day-to-day workshop and fabrication operations

• Lead and supervise a skilled fabrication team across the shopfloor

• Ensure health & safety, quality, housekeeping, and production standards are maintained

• Coordinate labour, production targets, overtime, materials, and workload

• Drive Right First Time, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement

• Complete daily production meetings, safety checks, quality inspections, and team briefings

• Train, coach, and develop team members while maintaining skills and competency standards

• Monday-Thursday 6am-3pm, Friday 6am-11am

The Person:

• Workshop Manager, Fabrication Supervisor, or similar

• Background in welding, fabrication, or manufacturing

• Commutable to Heckmondwike
