Are you a senior technical director or similar from a Theatre Flooring or Performance Flooring background looking to take ownership of a global technical function, become the go-to technical specialist on landmark international projects and drive product innovation and technical excellence?

This globally recognised manufacturer specialises in professional performance flooring and staging systems for the dance, theatre, entertainment, education and live events industries. For over 45 years, the business has supplied world-renowned venues and organisations across more than 100 countries, earning a reputation for technical excellence, innovation and quality while continuing to expand internationally.

In this role, you will lead the Group’s global technical function, providing strategic and operational leadership across engineering, product development, manufacturing and technical support for theatre and performance flooring projects. Working closely with international sales, project management and manufacturing teams, you will oversee new product development, support major global projects, develop technical standards and ensure the company’s products continue to set the benchmark for quality, performance and innovation.

This role would suit a senior technical leader from a Theatre Flooring, Performance Flooring or similar technical background looking to take ownership of a global technical function within a market-leading manufacturer, working on prestigious international projects while influencing future product innovation and business growth.

The Role:

• Lead the Group’s global technical function across engineering, product development and technical support

• Provide expert technical guidance throughout the sales and project lifecycle

• Develop technical specifications, engineering drawings and installation methodologies

• Support major international projects with technical solutions, site inspections and problem resolution

• Lead new product development and continuous improvement initiatives

• Work closely with manufacturing to improve product quality, performance and production efficiency

• Support sales teams with technical presentations, quotations and tender documentation

• Mentor National Technical Managers and deliver technical training across the Group

• Take a hands-on leadership role across major international projects with regular overseas travel

The Person:

• Technical Director, Head of Technical, Senior Technical Manager or similar

• Extensive Theatre Flooring, Performance Flooring, Stage Flooring or Carpentry experience

• Strong CAD and technical drawing experience

• Proven experience leading technical teams, product development and engineering projects

• Strong understanding of flooring, staging or related performance environments

• Willing to travel internationally
