Are you an experienced SHEQ Manager, Health & Safety Manager, QHSE Manager or HSE Manager with a strong background in manufacturing, looking to take ownership of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality within a growing organisation?

On offer is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established precast concrete manufacturing business, taking a key role in developing and driving the company’s SHEQ strategy across a busy manufacturing environment. You will have the autonomy to implement new processes, improve compliance and help embed a strong culture of safety, quality and environmental responsibility throughout the site.

The company has a long-standing reputation within the precast concrete industry, supplying specialist concrete products across the UK and Ireland. Following continued investment and expansion, this is an exciting time to join the business and have a genuine influence over its safety, environmental and quality standards.

The Role

• Develop, implement and continuously improve SHEQ policies, procedures and programmes across the manufacturing site.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental and quality legislation.
• Identify hazards, undertake risk assessments and implement effective control measures.
• Lead and support incident, accident and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Deliver SHEQ training and toolbox talks to employees at all levels.
• Manage and improve safe systems of work, permits to work and associated documentation.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement.
• Support and lead ISO audits, ensuring the business remains compliant with relevant management systems.

The Person

• Previous experience as a SHEQ Manager, HSE Manager, QHSE Manager, Health & Safety Manager or similar.
• NEBOSH qualified.
• Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, construction or industrial environment.
