Are you a Hire Controller, Transport Planner or Logistics Coordinator looking for a varied role within an established, family-run business offering flexible working hours, training and opportunities to progress?

On offer is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in coordinating plant hire and heavy haulage operations, with overtime available to increase your earnings and support to develop your industry knowledge.

This family-run company has over 45 years’ experience in earthmoving and civil engineering. Operating from their depot in Washington, they provide a diverse fleet of plant machinery alongside specialist heavy haulage services, transporting loads of up to 150 tonnes across the UK.

In this office-based role, you will coordinate daily bookings, schedule deliveries and collections, and allocate machinery, vehicles and drivers. You will work closely with customers and operational teams to keep jobs running smoothly, adjusting schedules when priorities change. Alongside this, you will monitor job costs, support invoicing and maintain accurate fleet and compliance records.

This role would suit someone from a plant hire, transport or logistics background who enjoys organising busy schedules, solving problems and delivering a high standard of customer service.

The Role:

• Coordinate plant hire bookings and heavy haulage schedules
• Allocate machinery, vehicles and drivers to meet customer requirements
• Liaise with customers, drivers and site teams, resolving day-to-day operational issues
• Monitor job costs, support invoicing and maintain accurate operational records
• Full-time role based at the Washington depot, with flexible working hours and overtime available

The Person:

• Experience in plant hire, transport, logistics or a similar operational environment
