Are you a Purchasing Manager with a background in sourcing Machined parts/components or from the Oil & Gas engineering industry looking for a highly autonomous role where you will make a direct and be respected as an expert?

In this role you will be responsible for liasing with manufacturers and machine shops to supply components and parts for assembly in the UK. Currently, the business uses suppliers within the UK, Europe and India – but they are looking to expand into Chinese markets. You will be responsible for spearheading this diversification, driving down costs and expanding the current supplier list. This will involve visits to suppliers both around the UK and internationally.

This company has been established for nearly 50 years and has developed themselves as one of the world leading specialists within the valves sector and oversee all elements of Subsea and Pipeline projects from order to assembly. They have recently secured approval for their technologies to be used in pioneering SMR projects, positioning themselves at the forefront of the UK’s nuclear energy sector, whilst diversifying into international markets.

This role would suit a Procurement Manager with a background sourcing machined parts, looking for a highly responsible and autonomous position where you can make a quantifiable impact.

The Role:

• Liasing with component suppliers and Machine Workshops around the UK, Europe, India and China
• Visiting clients nationally and internationally
• Sourcing new suppliers, driving down costs and improving the supply chain
• Working from a Warrington based office, 5 days per week

• Purchasing Manager or similar
• Background in sourcing components from Machine Workshops
• Confident working with international suppliers
