Are you a Service Engineer or similar with a background in the construction, residential or commercial sector, looking to advance your career in power generation and site services, ready to join a leading contractor specialising in Temporary and Permanent electrics?

Do you want to work as a Mobile Generator Service Engineer for a growing company, playing a key role in maintaining and repairing both rental and customer diesel-powered generators, while developing your technical skills and gaining hands-on experience through full training and support?

On offer for the successful Mobile Generator Service Engineer or similar is the opportunity to work with a diverse fleet of generators, carrying out service, maintenance, and breakdown repairs, while receiving structured support to build your mechanical and electrical expertise. You will also benefit from a company van, uniform, paid training, monthly pay, holiday pay, and opportunities to work on the company’s out-of-hours on-call rota.

In this role, the successful Mobile Generator Service Engineer or similar will be responsible for servicing and repairing generators at various sites and at the depot, preparing equipment for hire, diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, identifying parts needed for repairs, performing load tests, and providing engineer support to depot operations. You will also travel to and from sites regularly, so a full UK driving licence is essential.

The ideal Mobile Generator Service Engineer will have strong mechanical knowledge, a good understanding of diesel engines, and experience working with generators. Ideally, you may have experience with generator control systems such as Deep Sea, Power Wizard, or ComAp, and previous exposure to a rental environment. You will hold a full UK driving licence and a CSCS card. Flexibility in working hours, including overnight stays, is expected.

The Role:
* Carry out service and repairs on rental fleet and customer generators
* Prepare equipment for hire and perform load testing
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and identify parts required
* Provide engineer support to depot operations

The Person:
* Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of diesel engines
* Experience working with generators
* Excellent time management and attention to detail
* Holds a full UK driving licence and CSCS card
* Flexibility to work on-call and overnight stays
