Are you a Mechanical Fitter with welding and installation experience, looking to join one of the UK’s leading independent manufacturers of industrial weighing and inspection equipment?

With over 30 years of experience in the weighing industry, this company specialises in the supply, installation, maintenance, calibration and repair of road and rail weighing equipment. Serving customers across the UK and internationally, they have built an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions backed by experienced engineers and exceptional customer service.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter to join their installation team. This varied field-based role will involve installing industrial weighing equipment at customer sites, carrying out on-site fabrication and welding, assembling mechanical structures and ensuring all equipment is installed safely and to a high standard. The role will involve travel throughout the UK, with occasional international projects fully supported by travel allowances.

This position would suit a Mechanical Fitter who enjoys working on different customer sites, takes pride in delivering high-quality installations and wants to develop specialist skills within a well-established engineering company.

The Role:

• Install industrial weighing equipment and associated mechanical systems at customer sites
• Carry out on-site welding, fabrication and mechanical fitting as part of installation projects
• Assemble, align and secure weighbridges and associated structures
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and installation plans
• Travel throughout the UK with occasional international travel (travel allowances provided)

The Person:

• Background as a Mechanical Fitter, Installation Engineer, Site Fitter, Welder Fabricator or similar
• Experience with on-site welding and mechanical installation work
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Happy to travel extensively across the UK with occasional international travel
