Are you a Junior Geotechnical Engineer, or Geologist, looking to join an excellent consultancy who are registered with the Geological Society?

On offer is the opportunity to join a growing geotechnical team within a respected environmental and engineering business, delivering a wide range of ground investigation projects across the South West and South Wales. With over 30 years of experience, the company works across the private and public sectors.

In this role, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of ground investigation projects, from Phase 1 desk studies and site supervision through to data interpretation and report writing.

This will include, organising ground investigations, soil and rock logging to BS 5930 standards, in-situ testing, processing test results and liaising with clients.

The suitable candidate will have a degree in Geology or similar, with experience in UK ground investigation. Additionally, you will have knowledge of in-situ testing.

The Role

  • Phase 1 desk studies, including historical records review
  • Organising ground investigations and visiting sites
  • Sending soil and rock samples to be tested in the laboratory
  • In-situ testing where required
  • Logging all samples to BS 5930 standards
  • Monday to Friday, 8 – 5

The Person

  • Degree in relevant field
  • Knowledge of in-situ testing
  • Full driving license
