Are you an Import Clerk with experience using Sequoia or Descartes, looking to join an industry-leading logistics business where you’ll work on international shipments, develop your skills through structured training in road freight, and benefit from clear progression opportunities?

With decades of experience in international logistics, this freight forwarding and customs specialist delivers end-to-end import and export solutions across air and sea freight. Working with clients across retail, FMCG, manufacturing, and automotive sectors, they manage customs entries, compliance, and shipment coordination, ensuring goods move efficiently and in line with HMRC regulations across global supply chains.

In this role, you’ll support the day-to-day handling of import and export customs activities across air and sea freight operations. You’ll prepare customs entries, coordinate bookings, liaise with customers and carriers, and ensure all documentation is completed accurately and compliantly. Working within a close-knit team, you’ll gain exposure across multiple areas of the business while receiving training to broaden your freight forwarding knowledge.

This role would suit an Import Clerk with experience in customs or freight forwarding and knowledge of either Sequoia or Descartes, looking to build a long-term career within a supportive and growing logistics business.

The Role:

• Prepare import and export customs declarations in line with HMRC regulations
• Support the movement of air and sea freight shipments through to clearance
• Liaise with customers, shipping lines, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
• Assist with freight forwarding administration and documentation
• Work within a team of 4
• Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:30, office-based role

The Person:

• Experience as an Import Clerk
• Knowledge of either Sequoia or Descartes
• Understanding of import/export customs processes
• Commutable to Felixstowe
