Are you a field service engineer with an industrial plant, process equipment or mechanical systems background with experience of team management, seeking an exciting new opportunity where you will play an essential role with a historic global leader in its field?

This role offers autonomy, where you will work with the Company’s Technical Services Engineers, Contracts Engineers, and Field Sales Engineers, and interact with colleagues at the production facilities.

This company has been established for over a century, has several patented world firsts to its name, and is a leading international player in the energy transition, as well as a world leader in the thermal energy sector, producing industrial boilers and burners.

This is a senior operational role responsible for the effective management, deployment and performance of a national field engineering team, supporting a large and growing installed base of industrial steam and thermal process equipment across the UK.

The Role:

• Leading and managing the UK Service Engineer team of 16 people
• Ensuring effective deployment of engineers based on skills, availability and customer requirements
• Monitoring operational performance, engineer utilisation and service delivery standards ensuring timely and accurate completion of service reports and work orders
• Supporting technical problem-solving and escalation on complex service issues
• Managing engineer performance, development and training requirements
• Supporting customer relationships and responding to service-related queries or concerns
• Working closely with internal teams, including Sales, Projects and Service Coordination

The Person:

• Experience in field service management or senior engineering supervision
• A strong technical background in industrial plant, process equipment or mechanical systems
