Are you a Senior Estimator with a background in the steelwork industry, looking to make a real impact in a growing business, working on structural and architectural steelwork projects up to £3 million in value, where you will play a key role in shaping estimates and supporting project success?

This company are a specialist provider of architectural and structural steelwork, delivering projects across the UK construction industry ranging from large commercial builds to bespoke residential and industrial steel solutions. They are known for producing high-quality, reliable steelwork and have built a strong reputation through consistent delivery, close collaboration with clients, and a practical, hands-on approach to complex projects.

In this role, you will lead the estimating process for structural and architectural steelwork projects from enquiry through to final submission. You will review drawings and specifications, prepare accurate cost estimates, and ensure all quotes are managed and returned within deadlines. Working closely with internal teams and clients, you will clarify requirements, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support procurement and project delivery. You will also mentor junior estimators and help drive consistency and improvement within a fast-paced environment.

This role would suit a Senior Estimator with a background in structural and architectural steelwork, looking to take ownership of the estimating function within a growing business while working on projects up to £3 million.

The Role:
* Lead steelwork estimating from enquiry to submission
* Review drawings and define project scope
* Prepare accurate cost estimates
* Manage quotes and meet deadlines
* Liaise with clients and internal teams
* Identify cost-saving opportunities
* Support procurement and contracts
* Monitor and update estimates as needed
* Based in Basildon – standard working hours 7:30 – 5

The Person:
* Senior Estimator in structural and architectural steelwork
* Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and construction
* Experience producing detailed cost estimates
* Skilled in interpreting drawings and specs
* Proficient in Excel, Bluebeam, AutoCAD
