Are you a CNC Machinist with strong manual machining experience looking to join a growing and industry-leading engineering business where your technical skills will be valued and developed?

Do you want to work for a company that actively invests in the latest workshop technology, provides hands-on training in CNC machining and CAD systems, and offers clear long-term progression within a well-established engineering team?

On offer is an exciting opportunity to join a highly reputable electromechanical services provider that specialises in the repair, overhaul, and supply of critical rotating equipment including pumps, motors, gearboxes, generators, and power transmission systems. The business works with a wide range of industrial clients across multiple sectors and has built a strong reputation for engineering quality, reliability, and technical expertise.

In this role, the successful Machinist will carry out a wide range of manual machining duties including turning, milling, drilling, and general workshop machining tasks. The role will also involve mechanical fitting, workshop-based repairs, and occasional welding work on components used in rotating equipment such as shafts, housings, and couplings.

The ideal candidate will be a time-served engineer with strong experience in conventional/manual machining who is comfortable working in a busy workshop environment. You will have the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, operate a variety of machining equipment safely, and maintain a high standard of engineering workmanship. A willingness to develop CNC machining skills and learn CAD-based processes will be highly beneficial.

The Role:
* Manual turning, milling, and general machining alongside mechanical fitting and repair work.
* Reading and interpreting drawings to machine batch or one-off components to specification.
* Operating workshop machinery, maintaining equipment, and ensuring high safety standards.

The Person:
* Time-served engineer with proven manual/conventional machining.
* Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring equipment.
* Commutable to Cheddar.
