On offer is the opportunity to join a leading electromechanical services provider specialising in the repair and supply of pumps, motors, gearboxes, generators, and power transmission equipment. Due to increased demand for machining capability, the business is expanding its workshop team and offering long-term stability, training, and career development within a modern engineering environment.

In this role, the successful Machinist will carry out manual turning, milling, and general machining duties alongside mechanical fitting, occasional welding, and workshop-based repair work on rotating equipment components.

The ideal candidate will be an engineer with proven experience in conventional machining who can work independently or as part of a team and is keen to develop their CNC and CAD skills.

The Role:
* Manual turning, milling, and general machining alongside mechanical fitting and repair work.
* Reading and interpreting drawings to machine batch or one-off components to specification.
* Operating workshop machinery, maintaining equipment, and ensuring high safety standards.

The Person:
* Time-served engineer with proven manual/conventional machining.
* Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring equipment.
* Commutable to Cheddar.
