In this role, the successful Assembly Technician/Workshop Engineer will be responsible for reading and interpreting both engineering drawings alongside hydraulic circuit diagrams in order to build, assemble and test hydraulic and pneumatic systems. In addition, you will also be responsible for repairing and overhauling hydraulic equipment such, including, but not limited to: cylinders, pumps, valves and power packs etc… alongside troubleshooting and diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs. On top of this, you will be responsible for manufacturing or modifying components where required as well as pressure testing and quality checking completed work. Finally, you will be responsible for keeping accurate documentation of any projects worked.
The ideal Assembly Technician/Workshop Engineer or similar will come from a background within the Mechanical Engineering sector or a related field. In addition, you will also have prior working experience within a manufacturing/production environment or similar. On top of this, you will have prior experience within an Assembly Technician position or similar, specifically prior experience forming hydraulic products. Occasionally, you will be responsible for assisting in both site installations/commission. Finally, you will have strong organisational, communicational and analytical skills, with the ability to work well both a part of a team as well as autonomously.
