Are you a Quality Inspector, or Quality Engineer, who has CMM programming experience, looking to take the next step in your career?

On offer is the opportunity to join an established precision engineering manufacturer specialising in CNC machining and the production of high-quality engineered components. Supplying into the Aerospace, Defence and Rail industries, the company continually invests in the latest technology.

You will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the inspection department, coordinating workloads and ensuring manufactured components meet engineering specifications and customer requirements.

Working closely with the Quality Manager and wider production teams, you will carry out hands-on inspections, operate CMM equipment, review quality documentation and support the investigation of non-conformances, whilst providing technical guidance and development to the inspection team.

The suitable candidate will have background working in a Quality function whilst having experience programming CMM machinery.

The Role

• Oversee daily inspection activities, allocating workloads and ensuring production priorities are met
• Lead and support a team of Quality Inspectors, providing technical guidance and assistance
• Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections on precision-engineered components
• Inspect incoming materials and externally manufactured parts against engineering specifications
• Operate and program CMMs and other precision measuring equipment to verify component accuracy
• Support internal audits and compliance with AS9100 quality management requirements
• Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours a week

• Experience working in a quality function
• Background in a precision machining environment
• Experience programming CMM Machinery
