Are you a Maintenance Engineer, with a background in heavy industry, looking to relocate to the picturesque Scottish Highlands, in a role that offers a lucrative benefits package on top of an excellent salary?

Would you like the opportunity to work with a specialist manufacturer that is one of Britain’s longest standing smelters, situated at the foot of Ben Nevis?

With a heritage spanning almost a century, the company produces high-quality, low-carbon aluminium using renewable hydroelectric power generated locally.

You will lead the day-to-day maintenance function across the site, coordinating priorities, engineering resources and departmental requirements to ensure plant and equipment remain safe, reliable and available for production.

Additionally, you will support shutdowns and installations through the overseeing of contractors.

This role would suit a Maintenance Engineer, with a background in industrial environments, looking for technical development and to build upon existing leadership skills.

The Role

• Lead safe and effective maintenance delivery across all areas of the site
• Set priorities for planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance, coordinating resources accordingly
• Coordinate engineering, craft and apprentice resources across departments
• Monitor weekly maintenance schedules, work quality, CMMS compliance and key performance measures
• Oversee safety measures and ensure maintenance personnel are suitably trained and competent for their roles
• Monday to Thursday, 7:30 – 5, Friday, 7:30 – 12:30

The Person

• Qualification in relevant field
• Mechanically or Electrically biased skillset
• Experience using CMMS systems
• Background working in metal processing or industrial environments
