Are you a Field Service Engineer from a medical devices or equipment background looking to join an expanding biomedical engineering company, working across a local South Wales patch with ongoing training, overtime and very few overnight stays?

Established over 30 years ago, this leading independent biomedical engineering specialist provides medical device supply, maintenance, training and lifecycle management services to healthcare providers across the UK and abroad. The business is committed to delivering high standards of service, with staff training, quality and patient safety at the forefront of everything it does.

In this role, you will carry out scheduled PPM, servicing, validation and modifications on medical devices and decontamination equipment across a South Wales patch. You will work across electrical, electronic, mechanical, plumbing, steam and pneumatic systems, provide technical support and user training, and ensure equipment remains safe, compliant and available for patient use.

This role would suit a Field Service Engineer or similar from a medical devices, medical equipment, biomedical engineering, decontamination or related background looking for a predominantly PPM-focused field role covering a local South Wales patch.

THE ROLE:

  • Carry out scheduled PPM, servicing, validation and modifications on medical devices and equipment

  • Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, plumbing, steam and pneumatic systems

  • Carry out HTM 01 testing and maintain accurate service and compliance records

  • Provide technical support and user training to healthcare staff

  • Ensure equipment remains operational, compliant and safe for patient use

  • Travel across a South Wales patch with very few overnight stays

THE PERSON:

  • Field Service Engineer or similar

  • Background in medical devices, medical equipment, biomedical engineering, decontamination, sterilisation or a related field

  • Relevant engineering qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent experience

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • Comfortable working independently across a regional patch
