Are you a CNC Turner Setter / Programmer with experience on Sliding Head machines such as Citizen, Star or Tsugami, looking to join a well-established precision engineering company offering plenty of overtime, a Christmas bonus and an early finish every Friday?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected manufacturer of high-precision components supplying a range of specialist industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced CNC Turner to strengthen their skilled machining team.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for setting, programming and operating Sliding Head CNC lathes, producing small to medium batch and prototype components to tight tolerances. You’ll work from engineering drawings, select tooling, make offsets, prove out new programs and ensure components meet the highest quality standards. The business offers a clean, modern workshop and encourages the continued development of your programming skills.

This role would suit a CNC Turner, Sliding Head Setter, CNC Setter Programmer or Sliding Head Programmer looking for a long-term position with excellent earning potential and a great work-life balance.

The Role

• Set, program and operate CNC Sliding Head lathes.
• Manufacture small batch and prototype precision components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Select tooling, set offsets and prove out programs.
• Inspect components to tight tolerances.
• Monday to Friday with overtime available.

The Person

• CNC Turner Setter / Programmer or similar.
• Experience with Sliding Head lathes (Citizen, Star, Tsugami or similar).
• Able to set, edit and prove CNC programs.
• Commutable to Watford.
