Are you a Vehicle Mechanic or similar with a level 3 qualification or equivalent looking for a new and exciting Off the Tools role working where you will travel to a number of military locations across the South and get the new recruits through their level 3’s

On offer is the exciting opportunity for a Vehicle Mechanic with a level 3 qualification to join one of the world’s leading defence contractors. In this role, the successful Motor Vehicle Skills Assessor would step away from the tools and into a career that shapes the next generation of Army vehicle mechanics. You’ll use your hands-on expertise to coach, guide and assess learners working across the British Army’s extensive fleet from quad bikes and generators to battle tanks and heavy artillery. The ideal candidate Motor Vehicle Skills Assessor would have a minimum of an NVQ3 in vehicle mechanics or equivalent, be keen to work in a coaching and off the tools position.

The Role:

• Visiting learners in their workplace to deliver coaching, assessment and support
• Advising learners on portfolio building and meeting programme requirements
• Monitoring progress and ensuring timely completion of all programme components
• Recording and tracking learner progress in line with reporting processes
• Motivating and guiding apprentices through their qualification journey

The Person:

• Vehicle Mechanic or similar.
• Minimum level 3 NVQ or equivalent.
• British Citizen or able to obtain Security Clearance.
• Local to site.
