On offer for the successful Junior Mechanical Design Engineer is the exciting opportunity to join a leading engineering business specialising in motion control simulation systems. The company designs and manufactures complex mechanical components such as actuators, manifolds, and load cells, while providing structured training and development.

In this varied role, the successful Junior Mechanical Design Engineer will support the design team in producing general assembly drawings, detailed manufacturing drawings, and bills of materials. You will assist in developing mechanical system elements, learn how to work with hydraulic systems, and gradually take on more responsibility within projects as your skills progress.

This role would suit a Graduate or Junior Mechanical Engineer with strong SolidWorks skills and a keen interest in hydraulics, looking for a long-term career with excellent training and progression opportunities.

The Role:

• Assist in producing GA drawings, detailed drawings, and BOMs
• Support the design of mechanical and hydraulic system components
• Work alongside senior engineers on bespoke projects
• Learn industry standards and manufacturing processes
• Monday to Friday, office-based with training and development

The Person:

• Graduate or Junior Mechanical Engineer
• Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software
• Basic understanding of hydraulics or mechanical systems
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Engineering degree or equivalent
