£20-£24 per hour + Bonus + Days Based + Overtime

Are you a Groundworks Supervisor with SSSTS looking for a hands-on leadership role within civil engineering and water infrastructure projects? Do you have experience working within the water/utilities sector and want to be part of a growing and reputable contractor?

On offer is the opportunity to join a well-established contractor based in Swindon, delivering a strong pipeline of civil engineering and water infrastructure projects. The business is actively expanding and provides ongoing training and development to support continued upskilling, alongside clear routes for long-term progression as you grow within the company and take on increased responsibility.

In this role, you will supervise and support a small team of groundworkers while remaining hands-on across site activities such as trenching, pipework installation, and general site preparation. You will also be responsible for monitoring site progress, completing permits and documentation, carrying out risk assessments, and ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed. Experience working on water or utilities-based projects will be highly beneficial.

This role would suit a hands-on Groundworks Supervisor with a background in water utilities or infrastructure, who is looking to take ownership of site operations while continuing to work actively on site.

The Role:

• Supervising a small groundworks team and overseeing daily site operations
• Carrying out hands-on duties including trenching, drainage, and pipework installation
• Monitoring progress and ensuring work meets safety and quality standards
• Completing site paperwork, permits, and risk assessments
• Monday – Friday, 45-hour week

The Person:

• SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme)
• CSCS card required
• Experience within groundworks, ideally within water/utilities projects
• Commutable to Swindon
