Are you a Vehicle Mechanic or similar looking to progress your skills and move into a more exciting and varied line of work, where you will gain full on-the-job training on special purpose machinery to become a fully-fledged mechanical fitter?

On offer is an opportunity to join a prestigious company that design and manufacture a range of bespoke machinery for clients across the globe.

In this hands-on role you will be assembling machinery in the workshop in a tight-knit team of Fitters, working with sub-assemblies, bearings, pipework, driveshafts, pneumatics, and conveyors. There will be ongoing shadowing and the opportunity to progress to installations and commissioning once fully trained.

Established 40 years ago, this company supply their specialist manufacturing machinery primarily into the North American market. With a team of 40 employees including a selection of skilled Fitters, they are now looking to expand their team in line with their continued success.

This role would suit a Vehicle Mechanic, Fitter or similar looking to get involved in more varied tasks, for a stable company offering optional overtime to boost their earnings.

The Role:

• Building special purpose machinery in the workshop
• Working with sub-assemblies, pneumatics, bearings, driveshafts, and pipework
• Monday to Thursday 7:00am – 4pm, finish at 1:30pm on Friday
• Hourly paid, £14.50 – £17 an hour
• Optional overtime, 1.25x Monday to Friday, 1.5x on weekends

The Person:

• Vehicle Mechanic, Fitter, or similar
• Ability to read Engineering drawings
