Are you a Junior/Trainee Mechanical Fitter for a hands-on role with plenty of personal development, career progression, and a varied working environment within a long-standing manufacturer?

On offer is an exciting opportunity to join a market-leading business who design and manufacturer special purpose machinery in house for a wide range of client globally.

In this hands-on role you will be assembling machinery in the workshop in a tight-knit team of Fitters, working with sub-assemblies, bearings, pipework, driveshafts, pneumatics, and conveyors. There will be ongoing shadowing and the opportunity to progress into installations and commissioning once fully trained.

Established 40 years ago, this company supply their specialist manufacturing machinery primarily into the North American market. With a team of 40 employees including a selection of skilled Fitters, they are now looking to expand their team in line with their continued success.

This role would suit a hands-on Mechanical Engineer looking to develop their skills in a hands-on role, working alongside experienced Fitters and Engineers.

The Role:

• Following diagrams to fit parts on special purpose machinery in the workshop
• Working with sub-assemblies, pneumatics, bearings, driveshafts, and pipework
• Monday to Thursday 7:00am – 4pm, finish at 1:30pm on Friday
• Optional overtime, paid 1.25x Monday to Friday, 1.5x on weekends
• Hourly paid, between £14 – £17 an hour
