Are you a Technical Buyer from an Engineering background, with previous experience sourcing bespoke, low volume parts looking for a role within a rapidly growing SME who export their cutting edge special purpose machinery all over the world?
This is role you will be sourcing, negotiating and buying niche, low volume parts and materials for use in the manufacture of this companies machinery. This will involve negotiating with new and existing suppliers to cut costs and add value to the business.
With plans to expand significantly this company are leading the way in the design, manufacture and sale of their special purpose machinery as they look towards a bright future. Coupled with excellent retention and exciting growth plans, this is a great time to get on board and play a key role in this company and their future.
This role would suit a Technical Buyer from an Engineering background who has experience purchasing niche, low volume parts looking for a challenging role in a company that values its employees and enables their growth.
The Role:
- Identifying, negotiating and securing cost reduction opportunities
- Managing and improving the existing supply chain cost and delivery
- Analyse bill of materials to identify saving opportunities
- Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours with flexitime and half day Fridays
The Person:
- Buyer with low-volume procurement experience
- Engineering or Manufacturing background
- Ability to interpret technical drawings
