Are you looking to work for a service that supports children and their families who are subject to Child Protection plans and Child in Need plans and truly create a long-term difference to families lives and wellbeing?
Are you interested in a role as a Social Worker within the Safeguarding Team? In this position, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of children with varying levels of need and complexity. Your tasks will include regular assessment writing, threshold application, home visits, direct work, care planning, chairing meetings, and case recording in accordance with policies and procedures.
As a Safeguarding Social Worker, you will have access to a range of specialists, including Social Work Assistants, Family Support Workers, Family Coaches, Domestic Abuse Victim and Perpetrator specialists, Adult Mental Health specialists, Drug and Alcohol specialists, and a Systemic Family Psychotherapist. Additionally, you will receive regular support and whilst working in a compassionate team environment.

With easy access to line managers, reflective supervision every four weeks, and a supportive team environment, you will have the resources and support needed to make a positive impact.
Manage a caseload of children: As a Social Worker within the Safeguarding Team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of children with varying levels of need and complexity
Conduct regular assessments and threshold applications: Your tasks will include writing regular assessments and threshold applications to determine the level of intervention required for each child and family
Conduct home visits and direct work: You will be responsible for conducting home visits and engaging in direct work with children and families to assess their needs and provide appropriate support
Develop care plans and chair meetings: You will be responsible for developing care plans for children and families, as well as chairing meetings to coordinate and review the progress of these plans
Collaborate with specialists and drive positive change: You will work collaboratively with specialist workers to drive positive and sustainable change for families, utilizing resources such as Social Work Assistants, Family Support Workers, and various specialists in areas such as mental health, domestic abuse, and substance abuse
Work within the Signs of Safety Practice model: You will have the opportunity to work within the Signs of Safety Practice model, which focuses on working alongside children and families to establish support within the family and community network, aiming for realistic and long-lasting change
Educated to a degree level with a relevant professional qualification in social work
Successful completion of Assessed and Supported Year of Employment (ASYE)
Active Social Work England registration
