Are you looking to head up Research & Development for a market leading manufacturer, who cater for Blue Chip Automotive OEM’s on cutting edge, low carbon projects, with a competitive package, autonomy to make your mark on the business and the status and responsibility a senior management role brings, within a highly profitable and innovative business?

As the go-to R&D Manager, you will manage projects from research to industrialisation, leading a specialist team of Metallurgists, to deliver high profile government funded projects in the EV and Sustainability markets. With knowledge of Alloy Development or similar and a background in managing people, you will have the core skills required to gain the respect of the technical team and drive projects forward.

With over 10,000 employees worldwide, this company are a globally renowned manufacturing and prototyping business within the Automotive sector. Having recently acquired a number of lucrative government funded contracts, they are in a very exciting position and are looking towards a bright and profitable future.

This role would suit an R&D Manager from a Metallurgy background or similar, who is looking for a technically challenging and highly rewarding management role, with clear routes to progress in a global business, an attractive package and a variety of technically exciting projects.

Your work will directly contribute to the future of Automotive Engineering and its drive towards carbon neutrality.

DUTIES
* Manage a team of Metallurgists, with 2 direct reports
* Work on a variety of projects related to EV and Sustainability, from concept to industrialisation

PERSON
* R&D background, ideally within Metallurgy
* Knowledge of Alloy Development or similar
* People management skills, confident to lead a team of specialists
