On offer is an opportunity to work for an Engineering business supplying into the exciting and fast-growing aerospace industry who use state-of-the-art machine equipment to supply the most demanding OEM clients.

The Quality Systems Engineer ensures the Quality Management System is maintained and developed to the highest level to ensure compliance with prevailing Aerospace standards and customer audit requirements.

The Quality Systems Engineer is expected to lead by example and help the wider business to deliver a consistent service to the Manufacturing areas (at all sites) and Customers, ensuring the production plan is adhered to.

We have embarked on a journey to revolutionise how we manage ‘Quality’ and wish to find a strong individual to help us continue the journey, providing impetus and ambition in implementing new, more efficient and effective ways to ensure our continued compliance and improvement.

This is an exciting position demanding an enterprising person that can work in an ordered and methodical manner whilst also being able to excite others on the improvement path.

Responsibilities:

• Defining the company Quality Management System within the operational levels to ensure all areas of the business are working to QMS requirements
• Ensuring the Quality Management System is managed, maintained and developed to the highest service and cost-effective level
• Minimising third party non-conformances and audit failures (e.g., AS9100) to ensure that any issues are closed out to agreed timescales
• Ensuring internal and external audits are completed to customer requirements, EFQM standards and AS9100
• Work closely with customers on any specific Quality initiatives
• Managing OASIS and PRIe audit
• Continuous improvement of QMS and procedures

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Quality systems experience within aerospace or automotive industry
• ISO trained (9100, 13100 standard)
