This role would suit a Quality & Environmental Manager from a household/consumer product manufacturing background looking to work for an international manufacturing group, exceptional training and personal development and an opportunity to take over an entire department.
Maintain the Company’s ISO 9001 certification, including the facilitation of BSi surveillance and re-certification visits.
Maintain and manage the company’s QMS ensuring training plans are adopted across the business for both new starters and refreshers for existing staff;
Management of internal auditors and ensuring adequate training where necessary;
Manage internal QMS audit programmes in line with ISO 9001 requirements, ensuing departmental corrective actions are followed through in good time;
Prepare the Company for ISO 14001 certification, including the development of the Company’s EMS in line with the requirements of ISO 14001;
Management of certification schemes e.g. WRAS, TMV2, Water Label;
Manage external audit programs covering both technical audits and social compliance audits with the Company’s offshore vendor base ensuring vendors respond to all corrective action plans in line with the timelines permitted by the 3rd party audit programme;
Liaise with customers where required to ensure all matters relating to supply chain compliance are maintained to an acceptable standard;
Monitor and drive and programme of product quality improvement/stability with the Company’s vendors;
Actively take ownership and deal with where appropriate with any significant product quality related matters ensuring solutions are defined and implemented to avoid re-occurrence;
Be involved with the Design Department and Head of Compliance in assessing new product risks, in particular functional performance;
Evaluation and testing of current and new products relative to quality issues and risk assessment;
