Are you Purchasing or Supply Chain Manager with an engineering or manufacturing background looking for a new career and a progression path that will lead you to becoming the global manager for all purchasing?

Are you a manager with a proven track record and has sound knowledge of purchasing strategies and is fluent in using ERP and MRP systems and can negotiate on a global level?

This company are a global Motorsport Company who work with a loyal client base worldwide including major blue-chip companies, they have been established for over 40 years and have grown to the point that they have hundreds of employees across the globe. They are now looking at expanding their tight-knit compliance team to include a Purchasing Manager who will focus on Supplier relations.

The Role:

• Identify appropriate suppliers for designated products, perform comparative pricing, negotiate the purchase price, confirm quality, and establish delivery requirements/ timelines
• Ensure optimum stock levels are maintained, within estimated stock guidelines
• Identify and resolve issues relating to product quality, pricing, delivery, utilization, and loss
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings and implement changes to improve efficiency and reduce waste
• Keep management informed of new products, product trends and obsolete products that may impact the business

The Person:

• Purchasing processes, supplier performance and supply chain management
• Contract management and negotiation
• Engineering or Manufacturing background
