Reporting to the Lean Director, the Production Engineer is responsible for supporting production throughout the in-house metal shop and assembly areas. The role will also focus on co-ordinating the mutual engineering review of new products ensuring cost effective and sustainable production methods are utilised.

The role:

  • Identify and present ideas for improving production in order to improve profitability, Quality, Throughput or H&S.
  • Conduct feasibility studies on continuous improvement ideas generated from within Production, and having agreed the priority and gained necessary sign off, implement those projects
  • Work closely with the Lean team to develop and implement of best practices, routines and solutions to improve production rates, Quality and output
  • Support the Production Director, Supervisors and Lean team in evaluating the strategic development of on-site manufacturing to achieve business goals.

The person:

  • HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline
  • Experience with metal fabrication
