As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing concepts and creating production-ready designs based on project briefs. You will manage product refreshes, maintain CAD models, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental directives. You will also create specifications, visit manufacturing partner sites, conduct tests, and provide support as needed. Additional responsibilities may include analyzing samples, maintaining technical documentation, and undertaking ad-hoc projects. You do not need any specific industry experience within this role.

THE ROLE:

* Design and Development: Responsible for designing and developing automotive components or packages, ensuring adherence to specifications and processes.
* Project Management: Create and maintain project plans, deliver components to meet time, cost, quality, and specification targets, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate across the supply chain, work with interdisciplinary teams, and liaise with stylists and suppliers when necessary.
* Technical Expertise: Apply technical skills to consider material, manufacturing, tolerances, and other design factors, while also documenting work, performing analysis, and contributing to process improvement efforts.
