Are you a Procurement Manager with a background in the food and produce industry looking for a dynamic role with one of the industry leading suppliers, turning over £400 million internationally?

On offer is a fantastic opportunity to manage the procurement of vegetables and fruit produce. You will be responsible for building and maintaining supplier relationships, developing new supply opportunities, and supporting the sales team. Our company values continuous improvement and aims to grow profit while meeting targets.

In this role, you will handle strategic and day-to-day procurement activities, manage the UK buying teams, and implement company buying policies. You will be negotiating prices, managing stock, and ensuring the performance of your team. You will also support new product development and ensure high levels of customer service.

This role would suit an experienced procurement manager with strong communication and negotiation skills. You should be able to manage multiple tasks, work to tight deadlines, and lead a team effectively. A background in the food industry is essential.

The Role:

• Manage procurement of vegetables and fruit produce, building and maintaining supplier relationships
• Lead and support the UK buying teams, ensuring profitability and meeting targets
• Negotiate prices, manage stock, and support new product development

The Person:

• Experienced procurement professional with strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Background in the food industry essential, with a focus on customer service and team leadership
