The newly available position of Process Engineer will assist in the production process by defining processes, establishing routes, determining task timings, and ensuring production balance through regular reviews.
On offer is the opportunity for a process engineer with expertise in manufacturing processes, design for production, and lean improvement methodologies. Skilled in box building, electro mechanical assembly, and PCBA product testing. Collaborates closely with both engineering and production teams to develop comprehensive control processes for new product introduction (NPI) that ensure robust production solutions. Capable of creating and training production teams on operational procedures, including understanding drawings, BOMs, and routing, while applying lean tools and techniques. Experienced in managing production test equipment, diagnosing faults and issues, and providing quick resolutions.
The Role:
- Support production with process definition, routing, takt timing and production flow – ensuring line balancing as appropriate with regular reviews
- Working closely with suppliers to ensure components are designed and manufactured to the correct specification and quality requirements
- Work closely with purchasing on ensuring right sources of material, at the right quality and cost
- Manage production ECN, run in and run out of materials and process
- Comply with all ISO27001, ISO9001, ISO14001 controls, policies and procedures
The Person:
- Mechanical or electrical engineer
- Lean Manufacturing experience
- Experience of design for manufacture and production/process engineering
