On offer is an opportunity with a dynamic, independent business who are delivering leading freight solutions nationwide. You will manage your own projects, from conception through to manufacture, with a high degree of responsibility. You will have a strong background in FEA and calculations, to deliver efficient solutions.

You will be a key senior member of the Design & Engineering team, delivering designs to specification and standards, with a drive for continual improvement.

The role:

• Responsible for ensuring designs meet customers’ requirements and mandatory compliance
• Produce design calculations and proof and fatigue FE analysis for approvals and design verification
• Build and manage 3D models, the production of parts lists and manufacturing engineering drawings in line with company quality requirements
• Produce designs of products that can be manufactured efficiently, economically and create value

The person:

• Mechanical design engineering background
• Strong Background in calculations and FE analysis
