Are you a Mechanical Engineer with a Design and Manufacturing background, looking to step up and develop specialist battery systems, in a varied, autonomous, Monday to Friday role? Working within a tight-knit company who are known for valuing their staff and an excellent company culture, as well as offering flexible working options?

On offer is the opportunity to play a key role in an exciting team, that invests in their future and their staff, and are specialists in the design and manufacture of specialist battery systems. They work with projects in Automotive, Aerospace, Off Highway, Grid, Marine or anywhere else requiring engineered energy storage.

The role involves the Design for Manufacture of battery systems, this includes testing and 1st off building of the systems after initially CAD design of them. You do not need to have previously worked in a battery Manufacturing environment but do need to have a strong and clear grip on the fundamentals of engineering, including CAD and strong mathematics skills to enable you to effectively be able to Design and Manufacturer these Battery Systems.

This role would suit a Mechanical Engineer, looking for a varied Monday to Friday position and the chance to work with a tight-knit company that values their staff, and a team mentality. You will have independence and responsibility for managing your own time, with the option of flexitime and a couple of days working from home each week.

The role:
* Design and Manufacturing of Battery Systems
* Working autonomously to see your Project Designs through each stage
* Monday to Friday core hours of 9am to 4pm
* Bonus based on performance, healthcare and company doubled pension

The person:
* Engineering Degree
* Experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or CREO or similar) – Training available
* Ability to perform hand calculations (sizing and stress)
* Wanting to join a company that is committed to their staff
* Commutable to Northampton
