In this days-based role, you will be involved in the use of manufacturing machines and processes including Turning, Drilling, Grinding and Pressing whilst also being responsible for the Repair, Maintenance and Modification of tools as you conduct both planned and reactive maintenance – ensuring that all parts needed are ordered before this takes place.

This role would suit a Machinist looking for an exciting opportunity to step up and become a Toolmaker within one of the largest Manufacturers of electrical equipment in the world offering training to broaden your industry knowledge as well as plenty of overtime to increase your earnings.

The role

• Fixed term 12 month contract with the option to go permanent afterwards
• Training provided to further improve your machining skills
• Manage manufacturing press tools – Pressing, Turning, Drilling & Grinding
• Planned and Reactive maintenance of Diecast Tools & Machinery
• Liaising with the Production Manager & Engineering Department to ensure the highest quality of production
• Monday to Thursday – 7:30am – 4:30pm – early finish at 12:15 on Fridays

• Aspiring Tool maker – background in machining
• Experience with Pressing, Milling & Grinding
• Commutable to Cardiff
