Are you a Health and Safety Officer or similar from a Manufacturing background looking for an autonomous and varied position where you will be responsible for compliance and ensuring H&S processes are followed at the UK headquarters for a global Fire and Safety Company who offer opportunities for technical progression and a generous bonus?
This company are a global Fire and Safety Company who work with a loyal client base worldwide including major blue-chip companies, they have been established since 1918 and have grown to the point that they have hundreds of employees. They are now looking to develop a Health and Safety team within the larger compliance department.
This is an autonomous role where you will be responsible for ensuring compliance across the site through inspections and leading varied training for new and existing staff. You will liaise closely with the Compliance Manager and Sustainability Committee in addition to chairing the Health and Safety Committee and writing risk assessments from your findings.
As the company continues to develop there are aims to grow the department and with this come opportunities to progress through the business through the compliance department and into leadership roles.
This role would suit a Health and Safety Office or similar from a Manufacturing background looking for an autonomous and varied position where you can technically progress and further your skillset within a market leading company who offer progression opportunities and a bonus scheme.
The Role: * Office and Workshop based (70%/30%) * Undertaking Health & Safety and compliance checks * Training of new and existing staff * Leading Health and Safety Committee and attending Sustainability Committee meetings * Writing reports and risk assessments
The Person: * Health and Safety Officer or similar * Manufacturing background * Holds NEBOSH qualification * Full Driving Licence- willing to travel * Commutable to Gillingham
