Are you a Graduate Lab Technician with a Materials/Metallurgy degree or similar background looking to join a market leading company offering an autonomous yet supportive role where you will receive training to reach industry standards as well as swift progression to senior positions and overtime to increase your earnings?

This company specialises in the heat treatment of steel and non-ferrous parts for the Aerospace and Engineering industries, working with a range of blue-chip companies across the UK. Since their establishment in 1999, they have grown exponentially and are now looking to grow their Laboratory department to keep up with increased demand.

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and calibration of testing equipment, compositional analysis using SEM EDX, XRF and OES as well as conducting macro, micro & nano hardness testing all whilst liaising with senior leadership and production team to ensure all work is completed in a timely manner.

This role would suit a Lab Technician from a Materials / Metallurgy background looking for a varied role where no two days are the same, within a family oriented yet market leading company offering the opportunity to quickly progress and develop your career.

The Role

  • Maintenance and calibration of testing equipment
  • Compositional analysis using SEM EDX, XRF and OES
  • Macro, micro and nano hardness testing
  • Ensure that all work adheres to Company Quality policies and H&S standards
  • Monday to Friday – 8am – 4pm

The Person

  • Lab Technician or similar
  • Materials / Metallurgy degree or similar
  • Commutable to Cambridge
