Are you a technologist who has experience in the bakery or confectionary food sector looking to take the next step in your career within the UK’s largest independent manufacturer of cupcakes, that has a strong track record of sustained growth and are continually investing in their employees and sites?

Are you looking for an exciting, varied and hands-on position where you will play a key part of the development team, managing full project lifecycles from conception to launch and becoming the ‘go-to’ contact for key, blue-chip retailers nationwide?

This is a rare and unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about confectionaries and looking to become embedded within a highly reputable and well-established business. You will be working on a plethora of turnkey projects and have a hands-on involvement in first product launches.

The Role:

• Directly communicate with key retailers through face-to-face and written interactions
• Create innovative designs for NPD and EPD projects
• Meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Take charge of recipe creation and documentation throughout the concept to launch process
• Conduct organoleptic testing and micro reviews for product launches
• Source new ingredients that meet design, customer, site requirements and cost
• Coordinate trials with process technologists and support production
• Serve as the liaison between customer needs and process technologist’s adherence to factory processes, ensuring proper documentation and support for transit trials

The Person:

• Experience working in a similar position is essential, ideally within a bakery
• Full Driving license
