Are you an Engineering Manager with experience in designing industrial/mechanical hardware and managing an engineering team, looking to spearhead and pioneer the commercialisation of a product aiming to innovate and transform to revolutionise the mechanical engineering industry, where you will have the autonomy to make your mark in this ‘milestone’ product and lead a team of engineers to success?
This company is evolving a product looking to revolutionise the flow control / pressure equipment industry. Currently, in its pre-revenue stage – its product aims to relieve hundreds of millions of pounds worth of greenhouse emissions. Going from strength to strength, the company aims to double their headcount over the next year and has recently won government contracts and a huge R&D contracts.
This will include leading the transition of products from R&D to production, optimizing designs to meet required standards and overseeing a team to support range expansions, certification, trials deployment, and quality systems development. They will also hire and manage engineering staff, while collaborating with the operations manager to maintain an ISO 9001 quality system and ensure successful product development and testing.
This position would suit an Engineering Manager with experience designing industrial/mechanical hardware and managing an engineering team looking to lead the commercialisation of their product, shaping their success going forward.
THE ROLE:
* Lead the transition of the company’s products from R&D to production, ensuring compliance with standards and optimization for efficiency.
* Build and manage a team to support range expansions, certification, trials deployment, and quality systems development.
* Collaborate with the operations manager to maintain an ISO 9001 quality system and oversee successful product development and testing.
THE PERSON:
* Engineering Manager
* Proven experience in line managing an engineering team and chairing design reviews
* Experience designing industrial / mechanical hardware
* Familiarity with ISO 9001 accredited quality systems and experience in working to required standards for industrial products
* Experience with PED / APEX / heavily regulated standards (preferred)
