The job responsibilities include creating 2D AutoCAD drawings for structural steel fabrications, generating setting out drawings and levels, and gaining experience in Autodesk Advanced Steel for full steel building design. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with the fabrication workshop, managing laser software input for fittings, and ensuring compliance with the UKCA mark standards. It also entails producing material schedules for purchasing and the ability to interpret structural calculations and architect’s drawings for working drawings. The position encourages a holistic approach, allowing for involvement in various aspects of the construction business beyond CAD work.
This role will suit a Graduate, Intermediate or Senior Engineer with a degree in Engineering, Architecture or similar & knowledge of Auto desk, looking for a great opportunity to grow and learn within a well-established company, going through a large period of growth.
THE ROLE:
* Create 2D AutoCAD drawings for structural steel fabrications and setting out details.
* Collaborate with the fabrication workshop, manage laser software input, and maintain UKCA mark compliance.
* Produce material schedules, interpret structural calculations, and contribute to various aspects of the construction business beyond CAD work
* 9am-5pm Monday – Friday
THE PERSON:
* CAD Technician / CAD Experience (work, degree, placement, internship, apprenticeship)
* Degree Qualified (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Architectural, Aerospace)
* Commutable to East Kirkby, Spilsby
