On offer is an opportunity for a driven individual with strong communication skills capable of developing relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

The Buyer is responsible for purchasing to support production, this includes raw materials, tooling, sundries, parts, and subcontracted processes. The Buyer manages the supply chain to ensure the best possible supplier performance and value.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that all purchasing is in conformance with customer requirements
• Obtaining costs and lead times to support customer quotes
• Purchasing to support production including Raw materials, Tooling, Sundries (sealants, paints etc), Parts and Subcontracted processes
• Obtaining current supplier estimated delivery dates and maintaining information
• Input into supplier approval and management activities
• Visiting current and potential suppliers
• Communicating with suppliers on current performance and issues
• Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in Buying for the aerospace/manufacturing/engineering industry
