Are you a Supervisor or similar from a Builder’s Merchant / Timber / Builders background, looking to take on an Assistant Manager role where you will be directly responsible for the ongoing success of the branch with a clear progression route in to Branch Management across numerous sites?

This company specialise in the sale of Timber and Building materials stocking a variety of products from aggregates, blocks, bricks and lintels, to landscaping products and small essential items such as chemicals and tools. Since their establishment in 1984, they have seen significant growth and expansion and are now looking to expand their tight-knit team to keep up with demand.

In this exciting role you will assist the Branch Manager, working closely with the branch and sales team to drive success as a unit. When the Branch Manager is not in the office you will lead from the front and oversee a team of 13, as you work Monday to Friday 7:30 – 5pm and overtime every other Saturday from 7:30 – 12:30pm.

This role would suit someone with Supervisory or Team Leader experience looking for more responsibility and recognition and the opportunity to step up into a managerial position, to progress your career within a reputable business.

The Role

• Assisting the Branch Manager with daily running of branch
• Running of the branch when Branch Manager is absent
• Progression to Branch Manager
• Monday – Friday 7:30 – 5pm (every other Saturday morning 7:30 – 12:30pm)

The Person

• Supervisor / Team Leader / Assistant Branch Manager or similar
• Builders Merchants / Construction / Customer facing role experience
• Commutable to Basildon
